Courtney is a Virginia licensed and nationally certified acupuncturist. She is a recognized diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is certified in Clean Needle Technique. She received her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO.
Originally a D.C. native, Courtney first became interested in acupuncture when she sought treatment from a local acupuncturist for anxiety and digestive issues. The breakthrough that she experienced with her mental and physical health as a result of acupuncture led her to further explore Chinese Medicine and complementary medicine in general. She became more interested in yoga and went on to receive her RYT 200 certification in Holistic Yoga from Pure Prana Yoga Studio in Alexandria, VA. She also began working for Chrysalis Chiropractic as a chiropractic assistant in Del Ray, VA where she became even more inspired to pursue a career in alternative medicine.
Courtney believes that an individual’s health and well-being can be better than they have ever imagined and she is committed to helping others to set and achieve their wellness goals based on what is important to them and what they desire in their lives. In her practice, Courtney uses a blend of acupuncture, nutritional therapy and other Chinese Medical modalities to treat a wide variety of conditions.
Outside of the office, Courtney can be found working out at Orangetheory Fitness in Old Town, practicing yoga, walking around Del Ray with her husband or simply enjoying one of the many sights and activities this beautiful area has to offer.
