Lisa is originally from California and is a second generation Chinese herbalist who has been practicing Oriental Medicine since 2007. She is graduate of Southwest Acupuncture College in Albuquerque, NM where she had the opportunity to focus her clinical training in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ObGyn), pediatrics and family medicine. Specifically, she worked with treatment foster care children and their families for over a year learning Japanese acupuncture and body work to help children heal from trauma, ADHD, emotional & physical health concerns. She is Board Certified from the National Commission of Certification for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Oriental Medicine which includes: acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, western medicine, Tui-Na (twee-Na) and Chinese food therapy.

Lisa moved to northern Virginia with her husband and son from Huntsville, AL 2 ½ years ago. She is now the owner of Acupuncture in Del Ray, LLC. In Alabama, she had a private practice in family medicine, women's health and pain management. Prior to living in Alabama, Lisa worked in Clovis, New Mexico where she was the only acupuncturist in 150-mile radius serving the small farming communities of New Mexico and Texas panhandle here she treated patients from multi-generation families and worked extensively treating family medicine, allergies, asthma, skin and mental health conditions.

Lisa specializes in women's health and fertility, children and hormonal balance. She cares for each client using an integrative approach acupuncture, traditional Chinese herbs, food therapy and tui-na as needed to provide patients with a balanced approach to healthcare. She is passionate about education and encourages her patients' to learn and experience all that Traditional Chinese Medicine has to offer.

Through the course of her career, she has also worked as a certified pharmacy technician for over 10 years and has long since understood the benefits of combining both western and eastern medicine. As a practitioner, she understands pharmacological and herbal interactions and has provided guidance to patients in the area of herbal therapies, nutritional supplements and food therapy.

She is also a certified Eco Fertility Coach with the Integrative Fertility Institute focusing on supporting clients in changing their lives and creating healthy habits that prepare families for babies. Clients work on improving their lives in physical, emotional, spiritual and financial health. Supporting clients in this way creates lasting changes to provide greater balance on the path to motherhood.

When not in the office she can be found creating new recipes in the kitchen, at her local CrossFit gym, building towers with her toddler, the dog park with her miniature schnauzers or enjoying time with her family.
